bambu designs for people and the planet, producing beautiful bamboo products made from sustainable materials for healthier living.
For years, Jeff Delkin and Rachel Speth lived in and travelled throughout Asia, where they fell in love with bamboo as a sustainable, affordable, and beautiful material. They asked themselves how they could use bamboo to help end consumers' dependence on plastic, and in 2003 — after three years of research — they launched bambu. Jeff and Rachel now split their time between Portland, Oregon and Shanghai, where they work with their local team to design and create sustainable, handcrafted goods.
bambu's commitment to a green supply chain goes further than sourcing sustainable materials, promoting fair labour practices and safe working conditions. bambu's products are certified organic, and the bamboo the company uses is grown in and harvested from wild groves.
